Mandy Wiener is an award-winning journalist and author of Killing Kebble, An Underworld Exposed based on her investigation of Brett Kebble’s murder.
Mandy has built a strong reputation in the media for her balanced and unbiased approach. Her editor, Katy Katopodis describes her as having a great analytical brain and an excellent news gut which allows her to cut through the clutter and get to the meat of the story.
Mandy has won the National Press Club award in the Radio Category for her coverage of strip king Lolly Jackson’s death. She has won a number of National and Regional Vodacom Journalist of the Year awards, was chosen as the CNN African Radio Journalist of the Year in 2007 and has received several commendations in the Webber Wentzel Legal Journalist of the Year awards over the past few years.
Mandy was also named the Women in the Media’s Rising Star in 2009.
Her book has sold in excess of 65 000 copies, a phenomenon in South African publishing and was shortlisted for the 2012 Sunday Times Alan Paton Award.
