  • In October 2013 Botlhale Boikanyo was awarded the SATMA Best Praise Singer Award and performed at the televised live ceremony with a powerful performance of Ke Motswana, a new poem which speaks to her respect for culture.

 

  • In May 2013, she was awarded for excellence by the University of Northwest in Mahikeng.

 

  • In July 2013 Botlhale Boikanyo received the highest honour through an invitation to perform her tribute to Madiba at The Legacy of Hope Nelson Mandela’s Children’s Hospital Campaign Launch in New York. It was at this event that she was also named A Legacy of Hope Youth Ambassador – A role that she has embraced wholeheartedly and will endeavor to represent with dedication and pride.

 

  • In 2014, she was honoured to receive an award from Brand S.A, in recognition of her contribution to nation building.

 

  • In July 2014, she received an invitation to perform in Los Angeles on Nelson Mandela day, where she recited Dr. Maya Angelou’s tribute to Madiba, entitled ‘his day is done’ in honour of these two world icons.

 

Another highlight of her career in 2014 , was to be one of the country’s 20 artists who were chosen to be part of a song that celebrates S.A’ s 20 years of democracy. A song entitled, ‘an ideal’.

Topped by an invitation to perform at the presidential inauguration 2014.

 

In 2015 the 21st Annual South African Music Awards (SAMA) received a pop of youthful energy with Botlhale Boikanyo performing live on stage and then being the youngest nominee and winner.

 

Botlhale is a versatile artist. Not only is she a poet, but an actress, a Hip-Hop, ballet, contemporary, Latin and Ballroom dancer . She also does visual arts (crafts) as a hobby. Her talent started taking off at the age of six, and ever since then she has never stopped performing and entertaining. She has performed on national and international stages.
